5.0 out of 5 stars Hard to beat...., November 20, 2010

when you compare its space/weight ratio (it's 59"x89"floor and 44" height)with others in its class. It's probably not going to be as "bombproof" as some of the other name brand tents, but you'll be paying more than twice the cost for the other ones. Very easy and quick to setup and roomy for 2 people (and you're only carrying about 3# when two people share the load). Used it once in humid/rainy conditions and no leaks or condensation (use common sense when setting up and orient it so the vestibules aren't facing into wind/rain, and then you can keep 1/2 of the vestibule and part of the door window open for airflow).

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent tent, November 19, 2010

My wife took this tent hiking the Kalalau trail on Kauai--very cool and roomy, and 2nd night we camped on the edge of a cliff, straight 300 foot drop and very windy. Tent help up just fine and held shape despite the wind. Best thing is it's super light and sets up in an instant

5.0 out of 5 stars survived a cold, wet week in Wyoming!, September 22, 2011

The Eureka Scenic Pass 2XT survived a cold, wet week of backpacking in western US bear country! I could not find the footprint for this tent, so instead I used a tarp beneath the tent to protect from terrain and wetness. The rain fly kept the water out and helped seal in warmth on 20F nights. It handled howling winds well. I was able to carry the entire tent in my backpack during the day...it's pretty light. It sets up pretty fast. A great deal for $106 for a quality rain-proof and light 2-person tent that can compete with the more expensive REI stuff.
